Is it possible to make any nav system a head unit?

Say I buy any one of those nav systems, would it be possible for a shop to install them in my dash like a headunit? or would I have to buy specific nav/touch screen headunits?
If you don't plan on ever taking out your gps unit then yes if the shop is skilled enough they can fabricate something up for you to suit your needs of having it in place of where your old headunit would be. I suggest though if you still want music and maybe even hands free calling you look into some products by Pioneer and Rockford Fosgate. They make excellent products that include gps, hands free calling, satellite radio, dvd, and of course your normal radio.
